Circular Images 2001-2010
In our urban lives, where everything--streets, sidewalks, buildings, windows, doors--is laid out in straight lines, I find the circular image not only liberates me compositionally, it liberates the viewer from our cultural contrivance that a photograph must be cropped by right angles. It liberates the lens.
